Science-based emissions goals align with 1.5°C climate pathway
BENGALURU, INDIA – June 9, 2025 –Sagility India Limited (NSE: SAGILITY, BSE: 544282), a leading global provider of technology-led business solutions and services to clients in the U.S. health care industry, today announced that its near-term greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction targets have been officially validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
The Science Based Targets initiative is a global climate action organization that enables companies and financial institutions to align greenhouse gas reduction goals with climate science and the objective of limiting global warming.
SBTi Services confirmed that Sagility’s submitted targets conform with SBTi Standards and Guidance (Criteria version 5.2) and classified the company’s Scope 1 and Scope 2 targets as aligned with its requirements. Under its validated targets, Sagility commits to:
- Reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 emissions 54.6% by FY2034 from FY2024 base year
- Reduce absolute Scope 3 emissions 32.5% within the same timeframe, including emissions from purchased goods and services, capital goods, fuel and energy activities, and employee commuting
This validation reinforces Sagility’s commitment to the 1.5°C pathway and marks a key milestone in its broader sustainability strategy and long-term climate action efforts.
